after him!

Matt and I were in the car driving home when we saw a man spriiiiintiiiing across the street! "Let's follow him!" I thought it and he said it! :D "Quick he's turning right!" and Matt made a quick serve to the left to make it for a hook turn. "Come on come on!" We were impatient at the lights waiting for us to make our right turn. I looked back to the direction he was running from and was disappointed to not find anyone frantically chasing him. Never mind! We should all always be vigilant citizens! The lights finally turned green for us and Matt quickly made his turn and straight up the hill to quickly catch up to him. "There he is!" He wasn't too far away but now just walking and not running anymore. Matt caught up to him and I asked him to slow down just so we don't scare him. Matt ignored me and similar to the movies followed him slowly a few meters behind. I was starting to feel embarrassed and bad for the stranger because Matt was being so awkwardly obvious! His slowed down walk quickens to a stride and he starts running again! Matt pushes down the accelerator in response and the chase was on again! "Not too close! He knows we're following him, surely!" Again Matt ignores me. I tried looking around as if we were looking at the new apartments in the area just in case he turned back to see us stalking him but my excitement got the best of me. "He's crossing the street hoping to lose us in the park!!!" Good one Ping, too many movies perhaps? He stopped in the middle of the street on the way to his attempt to escape in the park when a tram soon arrived and on he hopped.

Oh, he was probably just running to make it to his last tram twenty past midnight.

Or was he really? Hmm...
